What's new

What changed in each beta build on TestFlight, newest first. Beta builds can change quickly; this is the plain-English version.

Build 14 31 October 2026

The payslip check asks two questions.

  • Is your payslip right? Wagemap now judges a payslip on its own figures by HMRC's rules: the tax on its taxable pay and tax to date at its code, National Insurance at its letter, and the student loan on its pay. Only a real error drafts a message to payroll. Where a payslip doesn't print its year-to-date figures, or a figure is in doubt, Wagemap asks you to check instead.
  • Does Wagemap match? Every other difference is a note with a link to the right card in Pay rules, such as Pension. Notes never go to payroll.
  • A confirmed payslip becomes that payday everywhere: Pay, Today and the Year view show its own figures, and later paydays carry on from its year-to-date totals.
  • If you started your job this tax year, Pay rules › Tax asks whether you had another job earlier in the year, so P45 figures are handled properly.
  • A student loan that wasn't taken when your pay is over the threshold is flagged for you to check.
  • Year-to-date figures read by the scanner wait for you to confirm them before anything goes to payroll.

Build 13 31 October 2026

How often you're paid, and a cut-off for every pay frequency.

  • Change how often you're paid in Pay rules: weekly, every 2 weeks, every 4 weeks or monthly. The whole tax year follows, and your logged shifts move to the right paydays. Confirmed payslips are never changed.
  • Weekly, fortnightly and four-weekly payrolls can have a cut-off too: overtime paid a pay period later, or a set number of days before payday.
  • The log sheets link straight to your cut-off setting.

Build 12 30 October 2026

Payroll cut-off and the last Friday payday.

  • Setup and Pay rules ask whether your payroll has a cut-off for overtime, such as "overtime after the 15th is paid the month after".
  • A monthly payday can be the last Friday (or another weekday) of the month, moved to the day before when it's a bank holiday, like Christmas Day 2026.
  • The Rota, the log sheets and Pay show which payday each shift is paid on, across the end of the tax year too.

Build 11 30 October 2026

Payslip history, careful scanning and extra payments.

  • Payslip history keeps payslips from any tax year, with every line and the year to date. An old payslip is never matched to one of this year's paydays.
  • Scanning never shows a figure as proven. It warns about anything it isn't sure of and asks you to check each figure: nothing is green until you confirm.
  • The camera buttons work, with a clear message and a link to Settings if camera access was turned off.
  • Net pay is always shown and checked against the payslip's own lines.
  • Setup can add extra payments such as first aid or on-call. Jobs without a fixed pattern are forecast as days of about 8 hours.
  • Today suggests features you might not have found yet.

Builds 1 to 10 28 and 29 October 2026

The first builds on TestFlight.

  • Setup, the rota, pay rules, the forecast, the payslip check, encrypted backups, app lock and reminders.
  • Wagemap Pro through the App Store, with a 7-day free trial.
  • NHS Agenda for Change in setup: band, pay step, hours and high cost area.
  • Rotas up to 16 weeks long (they were 8), so 10- and 12-week rotas fit.
  • Payslips read on the phone with Apple's own text recognition.
  • Logging shifts with simple wheels, and a custom plan of extra shifts in the Year view.
  • Build 10: testers can switch Pro on without paying, in Settings. This only works in TestFlight builds, never in the App Store version.
