These terms are between you and JJENGINEERING SPECIALISTS LIMITED (company number 16153913), who make Wagemap ("we", "us"). By using Wagemap you agree to them. Apple's and Google's store terms also apply to downloading the app and buying subscriptions.
What Wagemap is
Wagemap estimates your pay, tax, National Insurance and other deductions from information you enter, and helps you compare it with your payslip. It is a calculator, not tax, financial or legal advice. Its results depend on what you enter and on tax rules that can change. Your employer's payslip is what you are actually paid, and HMRC decides what tax you owe. Check anything important with your payroll department, HMRC or an adviser before acting on it.
Your licence
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Wagemap on devices you own or control, under the store's usage rules. Please don't copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, or use it unlawfully.
Wagemap Pro
- Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, at the price shown in the app before you buy. New subscribers may get a free trial; if you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the subscription starts and you're charged.
- Payment is taken by Apple (or Google) when you confirm the purchase, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or in Google Play. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- If we change the price, the store tells you first and you can cancel before it applies.
Your information
Your information stays on your phone (see our privacy policy). That also means we can't recover it for you: keep an encrypted backup if you want to be able to restore it, and keep your backup password safe, as we can't reset it.
Changes and availability
We update Wagemap, including for new tax years. We may change or remove features, but we won't take away something you've paid for during a paid period without a fair reason. We aim to keep the app working but can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Otherwise, because Wagemap gives estimates and not advice, we aren't responsible for decisions you make based on it, or for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable. If we are found responsible for a loss, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Wagemap in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Wagemap at any time by deleting it (and cancelling any subscription). We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings there.
